Shoes dancing in crazy kaleidoscopic mandala patterns! I shot a single shoe in stop motion spinning a few different directions and then time remapped the footage into the psychedelic sequence you see above. The original shoe was a bright green that was perfect for grabbing a color key from and adjusting / tweaking.
I approached this animation more like a live-action spot, creating a number of different footage sequences and then working editorially to cut it down to the 30 seconds you see here. It’s a very pleasant experience to build these dancing patterns, I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.
